Helena Xiao oversees all the programs and activities that involve the Columbia Global Centers | Beijing as a Program Manager. She is also responsible for identifying and establishing collaborative partnerships among Columbia University, other Columbia Global Centers, and local partners.
She has built experience in cross-border program management and external relation through years of work with governmental agencies and international organizations. Previously, she worked with United Nations Development Programme in New York, Washington D.C., and China, and International Poverty Reduction Center in China under the State Council Leading Group in Poverty Alleviation and Development and others as program officer.
She holds a master degree in public health policy from Johns Hopkins University. Before that, she studied Business & Civil Law at Beijing Normal University, and holds a Certificate of National Legal Profession Qualification in China.
