Global Centers Hosts Student Presentations in World Leaders Forum (with photo gallery)
As part of its fourth annual summit, Columbia Global Centers hosted presentations by students sharing their recent experiences visiting centers as part of a variety of University programs organized around the world.
The network of centers holds annual summits on campus to provide opportunities to center directors to meet with key campus constituents and offices, including University President Lee C. Bollinger, faculty, deans and other leaders at Columbia College, Teachers College, Barnard College, and several schools on campus.
Two featured public events included a World Leaders Forum presentation by and discussion with students, as well as a Faculty Forum featuring professors sharing their experiences conducting research at one or more centers. Both sessions included presentations on how the centers have facilitated the efforts campus stakeholders at our global sites—the former primarily for students visiting the centers, and the latter focusing on faculty conducting research within our regions.
