Columbia University Global Scholars Program Summer Research Workshop is a joint three-year pilot program initiated by the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, in collaboration with Columbia Global Centers, the Office of Global Programs, and the Institute of Latin America Studies.
This project will launch a new scholarly conference and exchange
project the Annual China-Latin America Program on Trade and Financial Relations in the
Context of Changing Economic Structure in China and Latin America.
This proposal draws together four Global Centers. With the essential support of the centers and the funds, this initiative will establish a sustained and dynamic network in global mental health that profoundly advances scientific knowledge and treatment of mental disorders globally.

A new initiative has begun with the aim to establish a think-tank with the express mission of finding and implementing effective solutions to China’s urbanization challenge: The Urban China Initiative (UCI).
The 2014 Global Scholars Program—“Contemporary Cities of Eurasia: Berlin, Moscow, Ulan Bator, Beijing”—will be a four-week summer workshop taking students through Berlin, Moscow, Ulan Bator and Beijing. Three information sessions will be held in the coming days (see schedule below).
