Public Talk with Yangshik Tso - A Celebrated Tibetan Singer

On June 23rd at 2pm, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing will invite the well-known Tibetan female singer and actress Yangshik Tso to teach a master class for Columbia "Global Scholars Program" students and other audiences. She will share her experience and gains from the shooting of film Tharlo, foster students' comprehension for Tibetan films and introduce students to artistic creation and practice of contemporary Tibetan culture.

Yangshik Tso was born on Sep 6th,1991 in Tongde, Qinghai. She is a Chinese Tibetan female singer and actress. She played leading roles in numbers of films and TV series starting from 2005, including the Silent Holy Stones, which is the first feature film that reflects Tibetans‘ life in China, Our Hero Where Are You, De Ji’s litigation,Tharlo, etc.
