The Research Roundtable Initiative is a collaborative community of research centers in Jordan. The convenings, which were initiated in December 2009, provide a forum for participants to discuss the priorities and needs of their institutes, as well as possible ways to share resources and partner in skill-development workshops and collaborative research projects. Since December 2009, four research roundtable discussions were convened. Discussions in previous roundtables identified skill-development workshops in research methodology for junior and mid-level researchers as a priority. To this end, intensive research training on “Qualitative and Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences” was delivered by faculty from the Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP) in December 2010.
