This workshop
will address the best available waste-to-energy (WTE) technologies for the recovery of energy or fuels from municipal solid wastes and other industrial, agricultural, and forestry residues. It will also discuss business and investment opportunities in this field.


Athanasios Bourtsalas, Adjunct Assistant Professor at Columbia University’s Earth Engineering Center; and Manager of Waste to Energy Research and Technology (WTERT-US). 

Alex Godoy- Faúndez, Director of  Universidad del Desarrollo’s Sustainability Research Center and Strategic Resource Management (CiSGER); Research Associate at Columbia´s Earth Engineering Center; and head of the Waste to Energy Research and Technology Chile (WTERT-Chile).

Moderator: Gonzalo Rivas, President of Chile’s National Council of Innovation For Development (CNID).
