This report shows the results of the research project led by GSAPP’s Latin
Lab, coordinated by the Santiago Research Cell, and conducted by research
teams from four universities in Chile (Universidad de Chile, Universidad
Católica, Universidad Diego Portales, and Universidad Católica del Maule).
Published exactly five years after the 2010 earthquake, it analyzes the
reconstruction processes in five different cities in Chile, in order to
discover the achievements, failures and challenges of the country's recovery
process after the second biggest earthquake in Chile's history.
