Avani Darne is a Program Officer at Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai working in the areas of Business & Economic Opportunity and Environmental Sustainability.
Before joining the Mumbai Center, Avani was a Research Analyst at the Centre for Monitoring Indian Economy, where she was responsible for generating analytical reports. She began her career as a market research associate with Padcare Labs, a start-up working towards sustainable menstrual waste management solutions.
Avani holds a Master’s degree in Economics from Symbiosis School of Economics. Her academic projects reflect her keen interest in the development sector. During her academic years, Avani interned at the Export Import Bank of India, Mumbai and Public Affairs Centre, Bangalore.
