Carla Magri

Carla joined the Columbia Global Center Santiago in May 2021, bringing over a decade of experience in corporate communications, research projects, and media. Throughout her career, she has specialized in creating compelling content and strategically positioning academic research and knowledge.

Before joining the team, Carla spent six years at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez (UAI) and two and a half years with the Chilean-based South American travel company, Explora. Additionally, she has contributed to various print media outlets.

As the Development and Communications Officer, Carla manages external and internal communications, strategic planning initiatives, and the execution of new projects. She is also involved in the planning and execution of the Santiago Center’s public events and activities. Furthermore, she engages with partners and potential donors, fostering strong relationships to elevate the center's visibility and reputation.

Carla holds a BA in History, a Master's in Journalism from UAI, and an MA in Global History with a regional focus on Latin America from Freie Universität Berlin and Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. She enjoys working in international, diverse and interdisciplinary settings and has previously lived in Spain, Australia and Germany.
