Education

Education plays an essential role in all areas of society and is most responsible for the development of civilization and human wellbeing. It is the theme that China and the world look to Columbia for new theories and solutions, where we can have a significant effect. Accordingly, in view of the educational topics affecting audiences in the region and worldwide, the Beijing Center features the research of Columbia scholars and invites them to have dialogues with local scholars and practitioners to facilitate the exchange of ideas and stimulate change in practices.

The Beijing Center has launched a thematic symposia series in partnership with Teachers College at Columbia University, Beijing Normal University School of Arts and Communication, and BNU-ANOBO Children's Global Competence Research Committee. We invited numerous global education leaders, scholars, and entrepreneurs to discuss the role of education and educators in helping people develop global competence and how they can continue to evolve, innovate, and achieve better performances.
