Entrepreneurs are people who think out of the box and make their own rules. But where do they begin? Does becoming an entrepreneur require specific expertise, innate skills, gall, or luck? In this workshop you will learn how to harness entrepreneurial spirit—the ability to be flexible, persistent and adaptable to create change in your organization and increase your impact.

To understand the changing conditions of our contemporary world, we require new concepts and categories that pertain to and are derived from global phenomena as they are rapidly evolving. Not only does this challenge require a transnational perspective but it also demands thinking across the established academic disciplines, since issues such as global governance, varieties of democracy, economic inequality, new communication technologies, and diversity of cultures and religions often fall between or across conventional disciplinary borders. This lecture will cover cross-disciplinary and transnational approaches in order to address the challenges and opportunities of the twenty-first-century world.

Leadership can make the difference between success or failure of organization, whether it is in the public, private or social sector. Leadership is also comprised of skills that can be learned and perfected. This workshop will discuss effective leadership techniques, how leaders can improve organizational performance, and cutting-edge techniques for leaders in an era of global competition, including Public-Private Partnerships and Performance Management.

Gender is such an important dimension of all public policy, the promotion of gender equality depends on the commitment of professionals in all fields. Professor Ergas will help participants to develop skills to assess, formulate, and implement policies that promote gender equality.

Instructor: Sarah Holloway (Lecturer in the Discipline of International and Public Affairs; Director, Management Specialization; Director, Global Ed Tech Entrepreneurship Program at the Center for Development Economics & Policy)

TBD – The Innovation Practice – tailored to the public sector - The Innovation Practice is an intimate and curated gathering of senior-level innovation practitioners from corporates and academic thought leaders. This is not your typical sit-down and listen conference: attendees will be active participants throughout with hands-on programming and peer-to-peer learning. In other words, no pitching, no vendors, and no selling – only innovation decision makers sharing, discussing and debating innovation practices.

Tuition: US$6,500

• Accommodation and flights not included.
• This amount covers all tuition costs (space, classes, workshops and visits) and breakfast and lunch served in the 05 days of the program.
• In order to secure a place in the program, admitted students must respect the deadlines indicated in the application and enrollment process. Students with account balances will not be able to attend the program and the amounts paid will not be reimbursed.

The payments will be converted to Brazilian Reais using the PTAX exchange Rate (Brazilian Central Bank).

You must send us the deposit receipt.

Admission decision will be announced on May 13.

In order to secure a place in the program, admitted students must pay the initial deposit of US$ 3,500 (1st payment) to the Global Center by May 24th.

The second deposit of US$ 3,000 (2nd payment) must be payed until July 8.

Both payments are non-refundable.

Students who fail to submit any payment by the deadlines forfeit their place in the entering class.
