Lisa Hollibaugh is Dean of Academic Planning and Administration for Columbia College. She came to the College from Barnard, where she has served as Dean for International and Global Strategy in the Office of the Provost since June 2014. In this role, she has worked closely with the Barnard President, Provost and faculty on their global initiatives, international projects, and curricular development, and she has organized a variety of programs designed to enhance the global experiences of Barnard students and faculty. She has also been involved in efforts relating to the general education of undergraduates at Barnard, including the first-year curriculum and the global nature of course offerings.
Hollibaugh previously served for seven years as Barnard’s First-Year Class Dean in the Office of the Dean of Studies, and she has has taught both Literature Humanities and Logic and Rhetoric in the Columbia College Core Curriculum. She received her B.A. in English and Music from Rice University, her M.A. in Theatre Arts from Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature from Columbia University.
