Marcos holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Católica, and a PhD in Operations Research from Columbia University. Professor Singer has co-authored several articles in management journals such as Strategic Management Journal, International Journal of Production Economics and European Journal of Operations Research. He is the author of three texts in Spanish on Linear Optimization, Game Theory and Operations Management. He is also the author of a text in English: A Practical Optimization Theory; Applications and Intuition from a Business Perspective, for Routledge, New York. Marcos is also a consultant to some of the largest companies and institutions in Chile, and sits on the board of directors of smaller companies and non-profit institutions.
