Join Columbia Global Centers | Beijing this weekend, as we are excited to support, connect, and scale up women-led startups across industries.

 

Description

This event will feature 30+ women entrepreneurs to present their innovative ideas and impactful business in front of senior investors and include a networking session to mingle with founders, investors, thought leaders, and partners.

The event is in collaboration with SheShapes Entrepreneurship program of the Global Shapers Community Beijing Hub and is part of the Beijing Center's business incubation program, which provides young entrepreneurs of Columbia University and other Ivy League schools with access to life-changing opportunities to empower their talents and passion for innovation. Participating Investors

Anna Fang

Anna Fang, CC '04, is the founding CEO and partner of ZhenFund, an early-stage venture capital firm in China focused on consumer internet and technology-enabled companies. Fang leads ZhenFund's investments, portfolio management, and operations; she led the firm's investments in unicorns such as RED (XiaoHongShu), Perfect Diary, Mia, Yitu, Horizon Robotics, and NiceTuan (ShiHuiTuan). Fang's Columbia College degree is in economics, and she earned an M.B.A. from Stanford's Graduate School of Business. She is a member of the Columbia College Board of Visitors and sits on the advisory board of Columbia Global Centers | Beijing.

 

Bernard

Bernard Kwok was a Venture Partner of Sequoia Capital China (SCC). Before joining SCC, Bernard held various senior management positions at the following companies: VMWare, Symantec, Fujitsu China Holding Co., and EMC. Bernard studied, passed, and received the qualification certificate to be an independent board member from the Shanghai Stock Exchange (July 2021). Bernard has worked and lived in China since 1993 and has a deep knowledge of China and a strong in-country network. He is a digital-savvy leader focusing on helping enterprises with digital transformation, building strong teams, and establishing industry ecosystems to support sustainable growth in Asia Pacific countries. 

 

Gary Yang

Gary Yang is the Founding Partner of Eureka Meta Capital and Sky Saga Capital and a renowned VC investor. Yang leads investment of dozens of companies, including Orienspace, Corerain Technologies, Power 28, RCT.AI, Solv Protocol, VFine Music (Douban Music), ARTMIX, Lanlonglong, Xinshang, Kebai Sciences, Jicanchu, EqualOcean, Pencil News, Clay Pot King, Weibo Yunjian, Tuotuo Digital, and Pipilu, etc.

 

Wahed Ahmadzai

Wahed Ahmadzai is a serial entrepreneur and policy communication expert based in Beijing. He is the founder of NHUB, one of the first foreign enterprises registered in the Beijing Chaoyang Free Trade Zone, and serves as the Secretary General of the Alumni Talent Alliance, a non-profit initiative aimed at driving positive outcomes for foreign alumni of Chinese universities.
