Beijing Dialogue with Mr. Wijnand Jongen and Professor Yuhuang Zheng

On May 28, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invites you to a dialogue with Mr. Wijnand Jongen and Professor Yuhuang Zheng from Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management. Mr. Wijnand Jongen is a globally recognized author, keynote speaker and futurist, focusing on topics in retail and e-commerce. He is co-founder and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ecommerce Europe and founder and CEO of the Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org. The two will have a discussion on how Chinese enterprises can explore and meet the demands of consumers with the help of big data, and can build Chinese brands in the world economy.

 

Speakers

Mr. Wijnand Jongen

Wijnand Jongen is a globally recognised author, keynote speaker and futurist on topics in retail and e-commerce. He is co-founder and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Ecommerce Europe and founder and CEO of the Dutch e-commerce association Thuiswinkel.org. 

Wijnand attended the University of Amsterdam, as well as the Randolph-Macon College and Averett University in the United States. He earned his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Averett University (1993) and a doctoral degree in Educational Studies at the University of Amsterdam (1986). During the mid-1990s, Wijnand was the co-founder of Macropolis, the first Dutch shop and price comparison site for consumers on the Internet. 

 

Professor Yuhuang Zheng (郑毓煌)

Professor Yuhuang Zheng graduated from Columbia University with a Ph.D. degree in marketing. He is currently Associate Professor of Marketing and Faculty Director of the Marketing Department Doctoral Program at the School of Economics and Management (SEM) and Research Fellow at the China Business Research Center, Tsinghua University. Previously he was on the faculty at Fordham University School of Business (New York) and has marketing and strategic planning experiences at Motorola and Compaq.
