Born in Seoul, South Korea, Ms. Lim has been hailed by The Washington Post as “exceptional sense of lyricism, an artist to keep an eye on.”

In addition to serving as Principal Solo Cellist, she also performs frequently as soloist, recitalist, and as a chamber musician. A passionate educator, she regularly gives master classes at the Ewha University, Seoul Arts High School, Seoul Central Conservatory, Beautiful Mind Charity Academy in Korea and has a number of private students in Seoul.

Ms. Lim has performed in numerous festivals and concert halls in Paris, Luxembourg, Brussels, Munich, Frankfurt, Köln, Hamburg, Essen, Turin, Milan and other major venues in Europe, as well as the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, Jordan Hall, Cité de la musique, Philharmonie de Paris,  Berlin Philharmonie Kammermusiksaal, Seoul Arts Center, and Hong Kong City Hall. She joined the Rotterdam Philharmonic in 2016.

This concert, which is free of charge and open to the public, is presented in conjunction with the Art and Music Humanities summer program in Paris.
