The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Columbia University's Teachers College has two core missions: promoting top-notch teaching training activities and pursuing classroom-based research inquiries. In collaboration with Columbia's Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures, the Center currently offers three English/Chinese teacher training programs, located in New York, Osaka, and Beijing respectively.
Designed and taught by Columbia professors, Dr. ZhaoHong Han, Dr. Lening Liu and other invited professors from the field of applied linguistics, the programs provide cutting-edge training in Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), a researched pedagogy that affords great potentials for both pre- and in-service teachers to optimize learning outcomes in a variety of educational contexts.
Prospective applicants can learn more about those programs by watching this video this video or joining an upcoming online information session on November 22, 8:00-9:30PM (EST). To sign up for this event, please click here.
