About the Speaker: Aseem Chhabra is a New York-based freelance writer, film journalist and author of critically acclaimed books, Shashi Kapoor: The Householder, the Star and the recently published Priyanka Chopra: The Incredible Story of a Global Bollywood Star. He has written for leading publications in India and the U.S. including The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Philadelphia Inquirer, New York Daily News, The Hindu, Mumbai Mirror, The Indian Express, and Scroll; and has been a commentator on Indian popular culture on NPR, CNN, BBC, CBC, Good Morning America and Reuters. Mr. Chhabra is also the Festival Director of the New York Indian Film Festival and the Silk Screen Asian American Film Festival, Pittsburgh. He has received his Masters of Science in Journalism from the Graduate School of Journalism, Columbia University, and Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
