On Oct. 21, Senior Vice Dean of The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, Professor Soulaymane Kachani, will be representing Columbia Engineering to connect with prospective students and re-connect with alumni, universities, and various companies at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing. He will introduce Columbia Engineering programs and will answer questions regarding the application process and learning experience.

Professor Soulaymane Kachani serves as Senior Vice Dean of Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science. He is an elected representative of the faculty of Columbia Engineering on the Columbia University Senate, where he is a member of the University Senate Executive Committee and the Chair of the University Senate Budget Committee.
Professor Kachani conducts research in the fields of dynamic pricing, revenue management, machine learning, logistics, supply chain management, algorithmic trading, statistical arbitrage, traffic flow modeling, and transportation analysis. He teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of quantitative corporate finance, industrial economics, operations consulting, logistics, pricing, and production and inventory planning.
Professor Kachani also serves as Columbia University's Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning.In this role, he oversees the development of Columbia University's teaching and learning strategies.
