On October 27, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invites you to a discussion and reception featuring Professor Soulaymane Kachani, Senior Vice Dean of Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science and Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. He will be talking about Columbia's approach to teaching and learning in a digital age: recent past, present, and future.

Speaker

Professor Soulaymane Kachani serves as Senior Vice Dean of Columbia University's School of Engineering and Applied Science. Professor Kachani conducts research in the fields of dynamic pricing, revenue management, machine learning, logistics, supply chain management, algorithmic trading, statistical arbitrage, traffic flow modeling, and transportation analysis. He teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of quantitative corporate finance, industrial economics, operations consulting, logistics, pricing, and production and inventory planning.

Professor Kachani also serves as Columbia University's Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. In this role, he oversees the development of Columbia University's teaching and learning strategies.
