Earth Science Panel Discussion in Shanghai, featuring Columbia Lamont–Doherty Earth Observatory and Center for International Earth Science Information Network

On August 5, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing invites you to an earth science panel discussion in Shanghai, featuring Columbia Lamont–Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) and the Center for International Earth Science Information Network (CIESIN). 

In the morning close-door session, students from New Frontiers in Earth Science Program of Columbia University will have a dialogue with Columbia professors on key issues in climate change.

In the afternoon session, six panelists, all leading experts in their respective fields, will offer their perspectives on risk management in government and private sectors, climate change, urban growth and implications for agriculture in China, air pollution and public health, and sustainable urban land use and population change. The panel will also introduce LDEO and CIESIN collaborations with groups in China.

Ron Cai '97 Law, Co-President of CAA Shanghai, will deliver a welcoming speech. There will be a reception afterward. We cordially invite all the alumni to join.
