This interdisciplinary conversation brings together artists, architects, and preservationists to test traditional boundaries of the discipline—from Tayfun Serttaş's display of lost Turkish architectural inscriptions at Studio-X Istanbul and Alex Lehnerer's presentation of the Kanzlerbungalow, the German Chancellor's former residence in Bonn, at the 14th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale; to Azra Akšamija's participatory archive of the future heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina; David Gissen's investigation of anti-war activism through reconstructing the mound of dirt built by the Commune de Paris in 1871; and moderator Jorge Otero-Pailos's meticulous reproduction of Harold Edgerton's famed image of a bullet passing through an apple, shot in the photographer's own MIT laboratory with his rifle.
