Avenida Isidora Goyenechea 2800, Las Condes (we will meet in the lobby)
Please join Santiago’s Columbia alumni community for a sunset on the rooftop of Chile’s second tallest building!
The evening will begin with a visit to the Titanium La Portada skyscraper, built by real estate developer Sencorp, which finished construction only months before the 8.8-magnitude earthquake that hit off Chile's coast in February 2010.
During a presentation on the skyscraper's heliport with views of Santiago, Sencorp business development manager Alfonso Barroilhet will talk about the building's anti-seismic structure designed to withstand Chile's earthquakes. Barroilhet will also discuss how the skyscraper is the first LEED certified office building in Chile (LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is a green building rating system).
