You are cordially invited to an information session for Columbia Business School and a public lecture on behavioral economics on March 13. It is co-sponsored by the Jerome A. Chazen Institute for Global Business, Alumni Relations, the Office of Admissions of Columbia Business School, and Columbia Global Centers | Beijing.

The session offers you an opportunity to learn more about Columbia Business School and its EMBA-Global Asia program. Professor Stephan Meier will give a lecture on Insights from Behavioral Economics for Personal Finance after the information session.

Meanwhile, we warmly welcome CBS current and prospective students and alumni to come and join us for a reception provided after the information session. 



Stephan Meier

Stephan Meier is a Professor of Business at Columbia Business School. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Zurich, was previously a senior economist at the Center for Behavioral Economics and Decision-Making at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston and taught courses on strategic interactions and economic policy at Harvard University and the University of Zurich. His research interest is in behavioral strategy. He investigates the impact of psychology and economics on human decision-making and its implications for public policy and firms' strategy. Current research topics include how non-selfish behavior affect organizations or the effect of borrower's decision-making on financial institutions' strategy. His work has been published in the leading academic journals including the American Economic Reviewand Management Science, and has been profiled by the press such as The EconomistWall Street JournalFinancial TimesNew York TimesLos Angeles Times, and Neue Zuercher Zeitung.
