In collaboration with the Columbia Alumni Association of Turkey, the Istanbul Center is initiating a series of alumni chats entitled “House of Chats” where speakers (some of whom will be alums) in a variety of fields will speak to an intimate group of alumni. House of Chats aims to create a lively platform for conversation around timely and interesting topics. The first speaker will be Senem Zeytinoglu Saydam TC '08, Assistant Professor of Psychology, Ozyegin University. Senem will give a speech titled “Love 401: Playlist for Relationships” on February 20 at the Istanbul Center. The event will be moderated by CAA Turkey co-leader Emre Cicek CC '07.

Dr. Senem Zeytinoğlu-Saydam is an assistant professor at Özyeğin University Department of Psychology in İstanbul, Turkey. She received her Masters’ degree from Columbia University Teachers College in counseling psychology and her doctoral degree from Drexel University in couple and family therapy. Aside from her faculty position, she holds a private practice where she sees individuals, couples and families and provides clinical supervision to graduate students. She also provides trainings in emotionally focused couple therapy in Turkey, Italy and Singapore. Her research and clinical interests include couples issues, medical family therapy and coping with illness and trauma.
