Innovation, India, Pitching, and more!
Third Thursday is a recurring open forum and networking session for the Columbia University entrepreneurship community. It provides students, faculty, staff, and alumni the opportunity to hear ideas from across campus, form teams, and explore career options.
In partnership with the Columbia Global Center | Mumbai, SEAS Entrepreneurship is launching a brand new track in the venture competition. This year, we are seeking applications from innovators and entrepreneurs who are passionate about producing viable and interdisciplinary tech-based solutions for transforming 21st century cities in India into sustainable and safe work environments.
Come join us on October 17, at 5:30 pm in 750 Schapiro CEPSR for the kickoff event, learn about the $50,000 prize for the new CVC track, and practice your pitch for our "Shark Tank" pitch competition in November for the chance to win up to $5,000.
All ideas are welcome! You do not need to have previous startup experience to join. Alumni 5 years past graduation are welcome to enter the competition.
You will hear from:
Faculty lead, Prof. Patricia Culligan, Civil Engineer, Co-founder of Data Science Institute, advisor to many green infrastructure projects
Prof. John Kymissis, Electrical Engineer, multiple startup founder and advisor
Last year’s winning team, BinIt! (current SEAS and CC students)
