Columbia Global Centers丨Beijing together with SSXY salon will hold a panel discussion on the US presidential election, as well as the socio- economic changes laid behind President-elect Donald Trump.
Our panelists include fellows from the American Institute of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, alumni of School of International and Public Affairs and Business School of Columbia University, and journalists with extensive experiences in the States. These young professionals and scholars will share their insights and discuss about social stratification, social mobility, wealth gap, financial market in response to the election, the influences towards American oversea investments in China, globalization and its influences posed on the US society, and influence of future policies implemented by the Trump administration on China etc.
The panel discussion will be delivered in Chinese, simultaneous translation or any other form of interpretation will not be provided.

Diao Daming, Assistant research fellow of Institute of American Studies, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Graduated from Zhou Enlai School of Government, Nankai University, he is LLB, LLM and PhD in Management. Publications include: The Purse of the State: U.S. Congress and Appropriations Politics; Trump Phenomenon; Inner Circle and Obama Diplomacy
Lin Nan, PhD of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, MPA of Columbia SIPA, Fulbright Scholar. His research focus on macro-economy and international economy and politics. Now he is a researcher of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).
Wang Ying, MIA, Columbia SIPA. She is a deputy director of international division at a private equity fund who helps international investment land in China, especially in international education and medical care. She used to work at the Clinton Health Matters Initiative at Clinton Fund as well as UNDP.
Yang Linnan, MBA, Columbia Business School. She was a trader at Standard Chartered Bank , investment manager at ADV Partners Limited and Legend Holdings.
Liao Yuanxin, reporter, founder of SSXY salon. He graduated from Philosophy, Politics and Economics Program, Peking University and got his MPP at University of Maryland. He was a program assistant at Initiative for Policy Dialogue, a non-profit organization based at Columbia University.
