Performing Under Stress: Discussion and Reception with President Beilock

Join Barnard and Columbia alumni, parents, and friends for a reception and talk featuring Sian Leah Beilock.

The eighth president of Barnard College of Columbia University, Sian Beilock is also a cognitive scientist whose research focuses on success in math and science for women and girls, and how children and adults learn and perform at their best—especially under stress. She has recently begun her second full year as the leader of Barnard.

At this intimate gathering, she will discuss her research and meet with members of the Barnard and Columbia community to share exciting news from around Barnard College, discuss current initiatives, and speak about how Barnard and Columbia are continuing their unique and important work together of educating some of the brightest young minds in the world.

Drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
