Overview
The Center for International Foreign Language Teacher Education (CIFLTE) at Teachers College, Columbia University, in collaboration with Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, provides state-of-the-art training in foreign language pedagogy. The Center currently offers two certificate programs: The TCSOL Certificate Program in New York and the TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Beijin ns.g. Developed and taught by a world-class team of experts, the programs implement a cutting-edge curriculum that sets trainees on a fast and efficient track to gain the knowledge and skills necessary for operating effectively in current and future classrooms in various contexts. Both programs are currently accepting application.
Program Details
1. The TCSOL Program in New York
This program offers substantive training in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language. Upon successful completion, participants may transfer the equivalent of 6 credits into a master’s program in Applied Linguistics or Bilingual and Bicultural Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, should they be subsequently accepted into either program.

2. The TCSOL/TESOL Summer Dual Certificate Program in Beijing
This dual certificate program provides intensive training in the teaching of both Chinese and English. Participants, however, have the options of obtaining a single certificate either in TCSOL or TESOL, or a dual certificate in both.
