Dr. Vishakha Dessai will visit the Afro-Atlantic Stories exposition at MASP and give the lecture: To Protect, Preserve and Create Culture: The Politics and Economics of Art in Today's World

Vishakha N. Desai is an Indian scholar focusing on art, culture, politics and women's rights. She is currently a senior consultant for Global Affairs at Columbia University, a senior researcher at the School of International and Public Affairs and vice chair of the Committee on Global Thinking at Columbia University.

The event will be held in English but will count with a simultaneous translation. It will start at 4:30 PM and it's expected to end at 6 PM.
