This psychoeducational training in collaboration with a team from the Columbia School of Social Work in New York and Columbia Global Centers Rio de Janeiro will feature a study on "Implementing Web-based Psychoeducation pieces of training for Community Leaders in Kenya and Brazil in response to COVID-19.”

The study will be piloting a 6-module, web-based, crisis training for 40 community leaders in informal settlements and favelas in Brazil and Kenya. The purpose of the project is to explore the impact of pieces of training on community leaders’ coping skills and well-being, self-efficacy as a trainer, knowledge of psychoeducation and COVID-19-related health and mental health, and the critical nature of social and community supports in settlements.
