About "Speak Up"

As the world is experiencing unprecedented challenges, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, in partnership with China Youth Climate Action Network (CYCAN), proudly launched the “Speak Up” Initiative aimed at youth aged 18 to 26 who are interested in biodiversity issues, sustainable development, and youth leadership to explore the role of youth in protecting biodiversity and promoting the sustainable development of human society.

In 2020, we received applications from more than 200 enthusiastic and talented young men and women from the universities in China, U.S., U.K., Canada, Mexico, and Australia.

Six Columbia students from Columbia College, Barnard College, Columbia Engineering, Columbia SIPA, and Teachers College were selected to share their voices and continue their efforts to make a powerful difference to a greener living.
