Students from Columbia School of Professional Studies in Santiago

During the week of March 17-23, a group of graduate students from the Columbia School of Professional Studies (SPS), joined by Academic Director Beth Fisher-Yoshida, Senior Associate Dean, Tatum Thomas, and Executive Director of Student Engagement Tiffany Onorato-Hughes, will embark on an educational journey to Chile. The visit, under the charge of Columbia Global Center | Santiago, will include instructional meetings with people and organizations linked to some of Chile’s most significant economic sectors including mining, energy, transport and infrastructure concessions, as well as meetings with Chilean entrepreneurs who are also Columbia alumni. The graduate students will come from varied academic backgrounds, including Construction Administration, Negotiation and Conflict Resolution, Information and Knowledge Strategy, Applied Analytics, Strategic Communication, Nonprofit Management, Sustainability Management, Technology Management, Sports Management and Enterprise Risk Management. In the context of this trip, Beth Fisher-Yoshida will lead an interactive workshop on preventing and addressing conflicts in family businesses (March 18) and the whole team will participate in an information session on the Masters programs, degrees and executive courses offered by SPS (March 21).
