The Center on Global Energy Policy and The Harriman Institute hosted a lecture and discussion with Memduh Karakullukçu,Vice Chairman & President, Global Relations Forum. Mr. Karakullukçu discussed how the evolution of oil and gas markets will impact energy security, prices, and trade and investment structures, focusing in particular on Turkey's role as a "transit" country. He also explored the development of new energy technologies and how policies can help promote cross-border collaboration and investment. He concluded with a discussion on the role nuclear energy can play in Turkey's energy supply. Alexander Cooley, Professor of Political Science, Barnard College, and Deputy Director of The Harriman Institute, will provide reactions and commentary following the presentation. Center Director Jason Bordoff will moderate the Q&A session.
