The Columbia Global Centers | Rio de Janeiro, in partnership with Columbia University School of the Arts and sponsored by RioFilme, will host two Introductory TV Writing Intensive Workshops, taking place in May, in Rio de Janeiro.
Taught by Professors of Film from Columbia University School of the Arts, the Television Writing Intensives will offer now two introductory workshops (of the same content), condensed into two days each, for groups of up to 15 students. The classes for first cohort will be on May 9 and 10 (Monday and Tuesday); for the second group the dates are May 11 and 12. (The cohorts will be arranged according to the students’ availability and/or taking into account the affinity between projects.) Screenwriter, Playwright, and Director Joe Cacaci (http://arts.columbia.edu/film/faculty/joe-cacaci), who taught in all previous editions of the program, Professor of Film at Columbia University School of the Arts in New York, will be the primary instructor for the workshops.
The entire program will be in English, so fluency in the language is mandatory. All assignments should also be written in English. Works in co-authorship can be submitted, as long as both authors apply for the course.
