Waste-to-Energy: New Trends, Technologies and Business Opportunities

This workshop will address the best available waste-to-energy (WTE) technologies for the recovery of energy or fuels from municipal solid wastes and other industrial, agricultural, and forestry residues. It will also discuss business and investment opportunities in this field.

Athanasios Bourtsalas, Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s Earth Engineering Center; and Manager of Waste to Energy Research and Technology (WTERT-US). 

Alex Godoy- Faúndez, Director of  Universidad del Desarrollo’sSustainability Research Center and Strategic Resource Management (CiSGER); Research Associate at Columbia´s Earth Engineering Center; and head of the Waste to Energy Research and Technology Chile (WTERT-Chile).
