Webinar VI: Addressing the economic opportunities and challenges of COVID-19

Over the past three months, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing has been working closely with experts and scholars from Columbia University, Peking University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other institutions to help our audience understand medicine and public health issues and solutions regarding the pandemic, as well as to provide expert insights and suggestions on economic and social recovery and improvement. All the valuable information will be consolidated, edited, and shared through Beijing Center's webinar series in the following time. 

On April 27, while COVID-19 continues to have a dramatic impact on global trade, Beijing Center’s sixth webinar will present the understanding of the economic impact of the novel coronavirus on China and expert insights on its economic opportunities and challenges.

Points that will be covered include:

Speaker

Jiawei Zhang

Professor Jiawei ZHANG is the chief researcher at GBIC. He is a research fellow at the Jack Austin Asia-Pacific Research Center of Beedie School of Business, Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada, a research fellow at the Institute of Strategic Research of Peking University, His research includes strategic planning, organization management, new business models, and supply chain management. In particular, Dr. Zhang focuses on economic issues related to China and North America as well as the crowdfunding business model and niche market behavior.
