Women, Work, and the Web: From Exclusion to Opportunity

Columbia Global Centers | Mumbai is organizing a one-day workshop on June 28, 2019 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., addressing digital technology and its impact on the participation of women in the workforce in India.  The workshop will address key research findings and engage with initiatives that use digital technologies to strengthen women’s participation in the workforce.

Presenters will identify barriers to women’s participation in the digital space, discuss digital platforms that provide information and resources for women to create safe and inclusive spaces, and probe initiatives that foster opportunities for professional women in India’s urban workplaces.
