The prize-winning director and screenwriter, Tom Kalin (Swoon, Savage Grace) will present a workshop about the main elements to direct and produce for the screen. In a series of practical and creative case studies, Mr. Kalin will guide the students through a vast selection of fundamental audiovisual pieces – analyzing short films, web series and full-length movies, from the script’s conception, to the final cut.

Full of hands-on, practical information about pre-production, visualization, director's notebooks, camera staging or working with actors (to name just a few topics), the Directing Workshop will also consider the evolution of the medium, and the impact factors like budget, audience, and technology continue to have on both short and feature films.
