2017 China’s Non-profit Sector Remuneration & Talent Development Practice Report” launched at Columbia Global Centers | Beijing

On Sept.16th, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing and A Better Community (ABC) jointly launched the 2017 China’s Non-profit Sector Remuneration & Talent Development Practice Report.

The event invited special guests, including Mr. Yueguang Chen, Executive Director and Secretary General of Dunhe Foundation, Mr. Ze Tao, President of China Foundation Centre, Ms. Mei Wen from China Philanthropy Times, Ms. Min Shi from ShareONE Consulting, and Ms. Tingting Guo, Human Resources Consultant of ABC, to provide their insights on the topic through speeches and panel discussions.

 

The founder of ABC, Mr. Yonge Qian, shared with the audience how eight years of pro-bono consulting experiences became the driving force behind the initiative of the research project. The results later showcase the current landscape of China non-profit sector remuneration and talent retention, zero in on key human resource management issues, and propose possible solutions.

 

The research project covers three research modules - Non-profit sector HR policy, compensation level, and talent development. Mr. Yuhan Liu, Head of the research team, presented key findings on all three areas and called for innovative solutions, including adapting alternative recruitment and incentive approaches and focusing on operational needs and basic staff-level needs. Organizations also need to pay more attentions on staff training and focuses, and to invest in overall team satisfaction levels.
