Beijing Center welcomes 200 new students and families

Prior to the fall semester begins, on July 7, Columbia Global Centers | Beijing, in collaboration with Columbia University Chinese Students and Scholars Association, hosted a welcome reception for more than 200 new students and families at the Beijing Center.

This event is for incoming students attending all schools and provides them an exclusive opportunity to experience Columbia before they arrive on campus.

The afternoon began with a welcome speech from Helena Xiao, Assistant Director of the Beijing Center, introducing the vision of the Columbia Global Centers. Representatives of CUCSSA and CAA Beijing then shared their tips and experiences on the academic, social, and personal life at Columbia and the New York City. A panel of senior students also shared their insights on how to make the most out of life at Columbia.

The event concluded with an informal discussion for students to meet new classmates and mingle with each other.
