Columbia Alumni Visit Innovation Hub Led by Fellow Alumnus in Santiago

January 22, 2019

In mid-January, members of Chile’s Columbia Alumni Club toured the Centro de Innovación UC-Anacleto Angelini, hosted by Executive Director Conrad von Igel—an alumnus of Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) and a member of the Columbia Global Centers | Santiago Advisory Board.

Von Igel led the group through the iconic building located at Universidad Católica’s San Joaquín Campus. During the visit, alumni explored key spaces within the center, including the FabLab, EduLab, Centro de Astro Ingeniería UC, and the Arauco innovation space.

The visit concluded with a reception on the building’s eighth floor, offering panoramic views of Santiago and a chance for alumni to network and reflect on the role of innovation and cross-sector collaboration in addressing local and global challenges.
