In mid-August, Ericka Petersen, Director of Postdoctoral Affairs at Columbia University’s Office of the Executive Vice President for Research, met in New York with Jorge Rojas, advisor at Universidad Católica’s (UC) Office for Postdoctoral Affairs. They discussed possible joint work involving postdoctoral fellows, shared statistics on their respective communities, identified best practices to address both academic and administrative challenges of early career researchers, and envisioned ways to promote the exchange of postdoctoral fellows between Columbia and UC to collaborate in cutting-edge research projects.
