Columbia and Universidad de Chile Researchers Collaborate on Energy Market Solutions

February 04, 2019

In mid-January, Dylan Possamaï, an assistant professor of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research at Columbia University, traveled to Santiago to meet with his longtime collaborator, Alejandro Jofré, principal researcher at the Center for Mathematical Modelling at Universidad de Chile. The two researchers have been working together since 2015 on questions related to stochastic optimal control and contract theory, with applications in energy markets and energy production. They are also co-advising a PhD student.

During this trip, they visited the Columbia Global Center in Santiago to discuss the feasibility and details of their project with the local team.
