In August, representatives from Columbia Business School traveled to Chile to strengthen ties with the local business and entrepreneurial community, highlighting the School’s commitment to supporting Latin American talent and innovation.
Maggie Hopkins, Program Coordinator of the Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness in Latin America (ECLA) program, visited Santiago in mid-August to connect with Chilean entrepreneurs and start-ups interested in ECLA, which is designed for leaders of mid-sized companies across the region. During her trip, Hopkins hosted an information session at Columbia Global Centers | Santiago, engaged with ECLA alumni, and toured the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center at Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez.
To explore new partnership opportunities, she also met with teams from Fundación Chile and CORFO’s Start-Up Chile program, discussing possible collaboration to support the growth and global competitiveness of Chilean small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Later that month, Susan Sullivan, Senior Associate Director of MBA Admissions at Columbia Business School, led an information session for Chilean professionals interested in pursuing an MBA at Columbia. The event provided prospective applicants with insights into the School’s academic offerings, admissions process, and career opportunities for graduates.
Together, these visits reflect Columbia Business School’s broader strategy of building long-term relationships with key stakeholders in Chile’s entrepreneurial and business landscape, while fostering opportunities for collaboration, growth, and academic exchange.
