Columbia Experience Overseas Program

The Columbia Global Centers | Middle East continues to hold the Columbia Experience Overseas Program (CEO), in partnership with the Center for Career Education at Columbia University. CEO is a unique eight-week internship offered for the fifth time in Amman on June 10 - August 8, 2015. The program was organized in coordination with Jill Burya, Associate Director, Center for Career Education.

The Columbia Global Centers | Middle East continues to hold the Columbia Experience Overseas Program (CEO), in partnership with the Center for Career Education at Columbia University. CEO is a unique eight-week internship offered for the fifth time in Amman on June 10 - August 8, 2015. The program was organized in coordination with Jill Burya, Associate Director, Center for Career Education. 

A total of eight Columbia University students are currently in Amman. Internship opportunities include a diverse array of fields, such as pharmaceuticals, banking, NGOs, consulting, and finance. Throughout their internships, students explore a career field and develop professional skills while gaining international experience in a vibrant cosmopolitan city. Students also have the opportunity to connect with professionals in Amman who have been selected to support the program either as an employer or mentor. The Center hosted an orientation Iftar on June 23, and will host a reception on July 27 for students and mentors.

The employers participating this year are Arabtech Jardaneh, Bank al Etihad, Hikma Pharmaceuticals, Oasis500, Telephoenic, The King Hussein Foundation, and Wamda.
