Columbia University 2013 Summer Sessions

April 02, 2013

Make the most of your summer and take advantage of countless possibilities at Columbia University.

Summer Sessions at Columbia offer access to undergraduate and graduate-level courses and certificate programs in over 50 subject areas. The Summer Sessions have classes for students already enrolled in degree programs, students looking to improve their knowledge in anticipation of applying for higher education programs, and professionals who want to move towards the next step in their career.

The city of New York provides more than a dynamic summer backdrop for students at Columbia University. As a global center for industries as diverse as finance, communications, fashion, entertainment, and publishing, the city offers students opportunities that contrast and compliment their studies. As a locus for the arts, nonprofit organizations, and cultural institutions recognized both nationally and internationally, the city provides a diversity of experience that can enrich any student’s summer.

Most summer classes are offered in six-week sessions, so taking classes in the summer still leaves plenty of time for other summer plans.

The two main summer sessions are:

Session D: May 28–Jul 5 (Application Deadline: May 16)

Session Q: Jul 8–Aug 16 (Application Deadline: June 27)

Advisors are available to help students develop a customized plan of study to meet their goals.
