Congratulations to Ege Duruk, CC'07, and Lütfü Emre Çiçek, CC'07, who will serve as co-heads of the Columbia University Alumni Club of Turkey. Currently, Ege is the Managing Partner at Backhaus and Vice President of the Board at Aroma Bursa Fruit Juices and Foodstuff Industry Inc. Emre is a writer-director, best known for his films, Mac & Cheese (2011), Sinyal (2014) and his feature film debut Naciye, which was released in 2016. They are taking charge from İlknur Aslan ('98SIPA) who led the club for 9 years.

“As the new club heads, we are very eager and fortunate to have been given the chance to reach out to and reinvigorate our community.  In the upcoming months we will work to create such a platform with the club where we can keep our alumni properly informed on Columbia Alumni and Global Center activities and opportunities worldwide and where our members can exchange ideas and present their feedback so we may organize a wide range of stimulating events that will hopefully increase alumni attendance and strengthen our network.”
