A glimpse of innovation and achievement at Columbia Engineering

With a tradition of pushing the frontiers of engineering, the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science at Columbia University has been devoted to address key needs of humanity and set a bold path forward for the future, thus fascinating hundreds of scholars. Prospective students and their parents, facing the upcoming application season, are eager to know how to be a part of Columbia Engineering.

On November 9, the Beijing Center supported the Columbia Engineering Asia Roadshow 2019 in Beijing, featuring Professor Soulaymane Kachani, Senior Vice Dean at Columbia Engineering, to connect with prospective students and re-connect with alumni, universities, and various companies.

During the session, Professor Kachani gave a detailed and substantial introduction of Columbia Engineering, from historical highlights to tracks and concentrations of each program, unveiling Columbia Engineering’s vision of innovation and its impact on humanity. He highlighted some of the Chinese alumni and their stories to inspire the audience to realize personal potential at Columbia. In the Q&A session, the audience demonstrated great passion, raising questions about programs and possible development in the future, while Professor Kachani elaborated application process and campus life.

Around 80 attendees including students from Peking University, Renmin University of China, Beijing Institute of Technology, and Beihang University joined the event.
