The Istanbul Center and Columbia Alumni Association of Turkey kicked off their House of Chats series, which aims to bring Columbia alumni together around different topics at the Istanbul Center office.
The first chat was on Wednesday, February 20th, with Dr. Senem Zeytinoğlu, Columbia University Teachers College graduate and Assistant Professor at Özyeğin University, who gave us a dynamic and inspiring talk entitled “Love 401: Playlist for Relationships.” Dr. Zeytinoğlu talked about the science behind happy and healthy relationships based on her research and clinical experience on love, human attachment, as well as couples issues.
The captivating talk was followed by an intimate Q&A with the guests. For further reading, Dr. Zeytinoglu recommended ‘Love Sense’ and ‘Hold Me Tight’ by Dr. Sue Johnson to the guests. These books provide a more comprehensive and in-depth look at the subject matter of Dr. Zeytinoğlu’s lecture and the questions that were raised during the post-lecture discussion.
